Owned by the Federal Government and managed by BGIS, Canada Centre is one of one hundred buildings across Canada selected to be a part of the Smart Building Initiative led by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). In support of the initiative’s goal to lower energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions, PSPC engaged Smart Tech leader, RYCOM, to install the RYCOM Data Analytics Platform at this site.
Carling Campus was selected to be among the 100 properties participating in the Smart Building Initiative led by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). RYCOM was engaged to transform an underutilized Base Building Network (BBN) into a functional and redundant BBN that created connectivity between all four buildings on the four-acre campus located in heart of Toronto’s Financial District. With the addition of the RYCOM Telecom Riser Management program, Commerce Court also benefited from extensive cable abatement and a secure, consistent process for managing telecom activity throughout the complex.
